AKA has been delegated administrative oversight for the Booster Clubs for the University of Hawaiʻi Athletic Department (UHAD). AKA provides “one-stop” customer service for all of the Booster Clubs and their members, thereby increasing internal efficiencies and fundraising performance. AKA also has compliance oversight of all the Booster Clubs ensuring that all NCAA policies are followed and adhered to on an ongoing basis.

Funds are raised through fundraisers, special events, outright donations, and annual gifts and used to pay for items not covered by the UHAD budget including additional equipment, travel for extra players, and supplemental nutrition. Funds are also used to support other needs such as recruiting and upgraded video equipment. The roles of the Booster Club members include being ambassadors into the community, ardent fans, providers of summer jobs, and much more.
